Barbie - risk item?
 

Found a little barbie set at a big toy store on sale. Seems like I can make a nice profit but just wondering if I selling this item would be a problem?

Anyone ever sell anything barbie/mattel?

Just scared because it a name brand. I have heard of some people having trouble with Disney items.

There are lots of Barbie sets that have'nt sold over Christmas in stores and even smaller shops over here as well, tend to be one of the casualties of the online generations, wonder how much of a market there still is for them, got couple of Argos sales brochures through just before Christmas and since then as well, they are selling of some bigger dolls that didn't sell as well

You are definitely right there GB! That's the basic problem with stores around the size of Argos isn't it, they make the basic mistake of pricing themselves out of the market for bricks and mortar stores in this internet age, and then when things don't sell even at Christmas they send out 'sales' brochures with the prices still way too high! Our local Argos is almost dead when you walk past it these days and was'nt even as busy as it should have been over the festive season!

No issues with selling Barbie - describe it well and make sure you ship it well :thumb: Great collectible

That's certainly true rsot, finding items that have that link of being collectibles for the future is always something to look out for, some smaller collections if them for sale on Gumtree few months ago, there are certain ones that fetch the best money and they are rare

It is...he even said so in his first post. He was asking about the branding...since Disney products have had issues, he was wondering if Mattel had the same issues.
