How long to get Buy Box?
 

Just curious as to how long it takes to get the Buy Box?

Im selling a product which is selling around 50 units a day, but even as the lowest price seller im not generating nearly as many sales as another seller who has the buy box, even though they only have 88 feedback at 85% positive.

I currently have under 20 feedback but its 100% and so far, my customer metrics is 100 too.

I am assuming you need to be selling on Amazon for a certain amount of time?

I know some of you might tell me that i can find details on Amazon, but i just wanted to see how quickly some of you guys got the buy box?

It will come, it just takes time. Amazon does not advertise their standards for getting the buybox. there is no real answer. Just keep selling and keeping your metrics up. Some categories are harder to get then others.

Ok thanks guys, after a bit of research it seems i will not be considered for the buy box for at least 3 months so i will try my best to keep my metrics as high as possible in the meantime (and after).

Hi, If you create product in a new registered seller account, there is no BUYBOX right?
If the seller account is registered from a USA company, is there BUYBOX?

You will never get Buy Box shipping to US customers from China, regardless of where your business is "registered". Shipping time takes WAY to long. You will get banned so fast your head will spin. Amazon customers are used to 2 day PRIME shipping, international shipping is best suited to eBay.

For the uk i have a competitor who has only 1 feedback and recently registered compared to me with 60 feedback registered a month ago how do you think he gets the buy it now?

Lower price...his gf works at Amazon...who knows? Amazon doesn't disclose their magic formula.

very low price. thats the only way he can get buy box.

very difficult if the item you are selling is at 9quid and he is selling off china for 3quid. that wont even cover the cost of the item delivery and tax. its ridiculous!

it should be made clear that shipping from china should be off the buy box but amazon doesnt care!

Show me ONE example of a Chinese seller on Amazon winning buy-box....

search for iphone case and you'll see there are hell a lot of chinese sellers holding buy-box

to win buy box:

- seller account has to be at least 90 days old ON PROFESSIONAL PLAN
- become a featured seller
- has perfect seller metrics
- has as many feedback as possible (but i've seen seller with 0 feedback win buy-box before so I guess this is just a plus, not a must)
- offer lowest price (in most cases, lower price will help sellers win buy box)
- handling time sets at default (1-2 business days)

and i'm not sure if shipping time counts :violin:

it also largely depends on each category

Again, send me a link to one seller SHIPPING FROM CHINA that has Buy Box on Amazon.COM. I've never seen it.

Not sure if these sellers are from China but they all have long shipping time (30 days+) and they are still holding buy box as you can see, there are many of them in this category only

I stand corrected! I'm quite surprised...given Amazons high standards for customer service, I can hardly believe they let Chinese sellers get buy box....

there are lots of them!

this is one example. top 30 pc speakers. the fact that you dont realise maybe because you are selling in categories where its difficult for chinese sellers to go into;brand name, etc. but if you could just have a quick look at best sellers especially in tech categories, there are lots of them. maybe not in top 10 best sellers but in top 100 they are everywhere!

Yup. They sure are. Quite a surprise. I wonder if they are using EMS or DHL instead of the regular no tracking shipping? Can't imagine them surviving otherwise.

Regular first class post from China to the US or the UK takes less than 1 week.
