Brand new hardware & Internet Connection detection
 

I've been reading Amazon Ghost, and it's extremely helpful. However, it seems to focus on people who want to use existing laptops and internet connections. I can afford to replace all the hardware necessary so I have 100% fresh MAC and IP addresses.

So i just need confirmation:

I plan to buy a brand new laptop to use with my new Amazon account, as well as a new iPhone to tether to my laptop for internet.

Will this setup work in terms of avoiding Amazon linking me with MAC/IP addresses?

Would be better if you use other dongles/ or device for internet connection rather than tathering. New laptop w/ new MAC will be fine...

Out of curiosity, why is a tethered phone not a good option?

Mobiles are used by people to run their accounts but if you are thinking of creating a lot of accounts with all the complicated details you need to keep track of and keep separate, it can be more difficult to do that from the small screen of a mobile. Laptops are more straightforward if you have access to one, you need to keep a record of your ip's as well, IPburger.com, is ideal for helping you to keep track of them, just make a note of them on a piece of paper, or on a spreadsheet like excel, there is one elsewhere in this forum that has been specially created just for this purpose.

I think OP will use the iPhone just for tethering. If both devices (laptop and iPhone) have not been used on amazon before, it should be safe.

I used my old iPhone just for accessing eBay/PayPal, and put it in airplane mode when I had finished accessing those sites, never made any phone calls from it or used it to look on any other websites. Did not clear cookies from that iPhone either once I had dedicated it to using only for eBay/PayPal, as I also turned off accessing cookies when I had finished using those two sites, so the only cookies on it would be from thise sites. As it was an old phone and not a brand new one I had completely wiped that phone before I dedicated it eBay/PayPal use as well.

Thread is about AMAZON. not ebay/paypal.

Variations in account usage are major.
