Amazon Asking for First and Last name, As well as Legal Name
 

Hello new to the forum and have done a search to try and solve this issue with little success. The first step in registering an Amazon seller account asks for first and last name as well as a legal or business name. Would it be recommended to use a suspended sellers First and Last name, a stealth name, or the business name? Thanks for the help.

You open a new LLC Stealth and your name you put as Steve Jim Peterson,

Would the system automatically link you?

No, this will be safe if you use a new address, phone number, credit card, bank , IP and computer.

I asked because I made the big mistake of being a newbie on Amazon and entered my real SS # and name. I sold a few units on a listing and a competitor bought one and returned it and put a bad review saying they received a knock-off. Amazon blocked my listing and I didnt know why, I asked Seller Support and they transfered my email to Seller Performance who took my account out, lol. Seller Performance is one tough team, they toyed with me before permanently banning my account and now they won't respond anymore. Even the Jeff address didnt reply.

If you ARE selling knock-offs on Amazon, you will burn through many, MANY accounts. They have been on the warpath for the last six months. In fact, they even banned ALL sellers from being able to list any DVD's with an MSRP over $25. It makes no difference how much you want to list the DVD for, if the manufacturer put a retail price of above $25 on it, you can no longer list it - you have to be pre-approved first and very few people are able to get pre-approved.

And it also seems that more sellers are being booted from Amazon with even ONE accusation of selling knock-offs.

You're absolutely, correct. For us, it wasn't a knock-off, it was just we were not authorized and I think if we just left the listing to be blocked and kept our mouth shut, then we would not have lost the account. Once we spoke up, then Seller Performance conducted a review and did not like that the electronic item was purchased from the vendors factory rather than the vendors distributor in the US. Although, they did give us some chance or hope before they banned us permanently, but, I think it was to toy with us before booting us out completely. After viewing the forums, and the amazon forums, they sometimes keep probing sellers to submit additional appeals, only in the end to permanently ban them after 3-4 communications. They should have just said we are permanently banned the first time, and saved us any hope of reinstatement.

In our stealth account, we will not be selling anything of a knock-off, only legitimate product from authorized distributors or manufacturer directly so that we can prove authenticity.

I just wish i lost my ebay account instead of Amazon, because Amazon's volume is sooo large in comparison to what we do with ebay.
