Buyer filed A to Z claim 4 months after purchase

I thought the buyer can only file within 90 days of purchase date or receiving the item. I got an email shortly before they filed that they contacted Amazon. Apparently if they call Amazon they will overide the 90 days.

This changes everything for handling returns after 90 days. Now I will have to offer a return label and a full refund to avoid a strike against my metrics. this is bull

I feel for you Kelly.

Sad truth is the buyer's have the full power over small time sellers.

We work very hard to matain these metrics only to be spoiled by couple of spoiled greedy loser buyers.

Email Amazon and ask them how can a buyer file a case after 90 days have elapsed.

Good luck

Unfortunately it seems the buyer is always right in every situation. Recently I had a case opened from paypal via eBay that the user claimed they never made the purchase. Items were shipped and delivered to confirmed address. Paypal sided with the user, refunded the money and didn't even make them give my products back. So I lost all the money and the products. Once the scammers find out that they can do this, they'll continue to do it to everyone.

The default is to award the buyer the A-to-Z claim unless the buyer does this excessively

I agree, this is awful.

We also had a case whereby a buyer was making out they did not order an item and opened an A-Z claim. They are playing the victim with massive drama. It's always drama with these fraudsters.

Reported them to Amz, but no help so far in removing the damage this "buyer" did to our selling metrics.

These people seem to think it is ok to go onto Amz to steal and commit fraud. Amz need to change the way an opened A-Z claim affects the metrics if the claim is fraudulent...

Sh** happens.. your account has already been dinged, whether you offer to pay for shipping or not. I would tell him to pay for shipping and charge him a hefty 25% restocking fee upon arrival of the item due to late return. You're allowed to charge a restocking fee per amazon rules. Process the refund minus the restocking fee and your A-Z claim will close out when you represent your case to Amazon.

Your account has been dinged even if you win. It sucks.

But I believe if you wright a short but sweet appeal you will win.

I've won both a-z claims that I fought. I just got my second one last week from a Dec 11th order.

The Asshole said his CD Key did not work and demanded I refund him from his purchase almost 3 months ago.

When I refused, I woke up to an A-Z. Appealed and won.

I've had to file a A-z claim myself, and the rep emailed me for more info. He seemed pretty competent and did not seem like a cheap over seas rep.

Wright a good appeal with just facts and you should win...

What is the reason he is claming for the A-Z?
