Amazon individual account... biz name or ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name
 

I am going to open an individual amazon account to see if I can get past the review process first.

Then later upgrade the account to a Professional account.

Does amazon need my SS# when opening the individual account?

And...

Do I need to use a business name for the individual account?

When I upgrade to the professional account I will have to give them a name or biz name and an EIN# and fill out tax information.

So how is this all going to work? confused...

Are you using just any ol name to open an amazon individual account?

Now lets say we want to upgrade the account to professional,
how do you do set up your the tax info? I cant use my SS# for known reasons. Can I?

Please explain how you do it on your accounts.

Yes, you can use any name for it.
For the 2nd question. The forum not allow to discuss or advice the tax thing. There is a few thread about this matter. Just search both Amazon sub folder you will found them

When opening a individual account, a SSN is NOT required.

If you want to open a professional account a SSN, EIN or LLC is required. If you upgrade to a professional account later on, you will either have to provide them your name & EIN or business tax id (LLC).

So when I upgrade I will have to submit an EIN.

Say I opened the individual account in name of Jon Jones and later upgrade to the pro...

Do I keep the pro account in name of Jon Jones and ADD a business name to it like Jon's Store.

....and then apply for an EIN for Jon's Store and add it to pro account?

Oh well. No ones going to answer.

I've searched the subscriber section but cant seem to find a simple answer.
