suspended on Amz - dangerous to open on ABE?

Hi,

Do you think Amz and ABE share banned account metadata - such as IP, business taxpayer id, etc?

Thanks in advance for your insight

I meant, ABE Books. My apologies for being a little unclear. I'm a media seller.

Amazon owns ABE Books, but the two are independently run. However, I'm trying to get as much insight as I can.

Thank you

Just do a little research, this took less than 2 minutes..

Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and we're not in the business of selling it to others. AbeBooks shares customer information only as described below, with our affiliates and with our parent corporation, Amazon.com, Inc., and the subsidiaries it controls. Amazon.com, Inc. and its controlled US subsidiaries are participants in the Safe Harbour programme developed by the US Department of Commerce and the European Union. These Amazon Group companies have certified that they adhere to the Safe Harbour Privacy Principles agreed upon by the US and the EU.

Make sure to double check.

Think in terms of half com & ebay. They share info.

Make sure these companies do not.

1 thing I notice, Amazon doesn't allow International text book and ABE does :)

I read the posting on ABE Books. It's buyer-focused, if I'm not mistaken. I am reaching out to others who might have had experience with this directly.

Thanks

Re: suspended on Amz - dangerous to open on ABE?

I know this thread is super old but hoping to get an update… I currently have an Amazon account on which I sell book. I’d like to sign up with Abebooks.com and enroll myself in their “Amazon.com Marketplace Program” where they take books I list on Abebooks.com and automatically list them on Amazon as well, thus giving me two Amazon accounts. I’m wondering if they share information and will ultimately be able to tell I have two accounts on Amazon. Also is there another website that’s similar that I could do this with that might keep my identity better concealed?

Who said AMZN owns ABE.COM?
You should ask ABE ,because it is listing all its books on AMZN,when someone buys one of these books, does it notify ABE and then ABE notifies you?
Do you pay ABE a fee as well?
How does it work?ask ABE.

Abebooks.com is owned by Amazon as stated on their website, see below

"An ecommerce pioneer, our company was founded in 1995 and our first website, AbeBooks.com, was launched a year later. We're a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc. after being acquired in December 2008. Our headquarters are located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and we also have an office in Munich, Germany."

It was one way to control the competition and price fix the products, no antitrust laws are being broken here (I don’t believe that)

so he wants to list his books twice, doubling his visibility on ABE and AMZN.
There is no Half.com anymore, but there are bookselles on EBay.
What kind of books do you have?
are they new or used?
