amazon credit card

Is amazon not allowing gift cards anymore?

I'm trying to use my vanilla gift card and visa gift cards but they are not being confirmed. I have even registered the address and everything on the card. They also have $15 in them.

Sounds like you have to wrong card. You don't have to register gift cards. Use your $15 credit and buy a vanilla gift card.

A lot of peoples are talking about "vanilla" card. what exactly is a "Vanilla" card ?

Is it a pre-paid credit card from CVS that is registered online by vanillavisa.com or what other site?

Can someone be precise and explain what a "Vanilla" card really is ?

Re: amazon credit card

and they still work for sure? someone reported they might not work.
Why do these work better than other pre-paid cards ?

bank debit cards don't work ?

Re: amazon credit card

Well I Spent some money on it that's why it has $15 but I got the $25 vanillagift mastercard and it didn't work for me.

Re: amazon credit card

was it a card registered by vanillavisa.com CustomerServiceProTip ?

In the long run doesn't it makes sense to get a real credit card ?

Do prepaid credit card from a bank work better ?

Re: amazon credit card

Basically they are "gift" cards sold in most supermarkets, they don't need registering. You can get either visa or mastercard. They work fine with amazon.

Nope mines just failed on 2 different VISAs from 2 different continents, seems they have blocked some non-reloadable prepaid visas, the charge goes through O.K but Amazon Europe insists they are invalid

I think we have a mole from amazon on here. I reckon we should stick to discussing potential solutions by PM only. At least that will prolong the life of any solution.
