State Sales Tax Question
I just thought of a scenario that is going to affect me. For example: My business has a physical presence in the state of Texas and therefore we are required by law (and do) collect sales Tax for all sales within the state. In seller central, you can enable to tax collection on a state by state basis. When I setup my new ghost account, I am going to use a new EIN that is associated with a relatives address in another state. However, all of my shipments will occur in the state of Texas, so I would by required by law (and need to) collect sales tax again for these shipments. If I setup the sales tax collection in seller central, wouldn't that raise a red flag in a manual review, or possibly allow the detection to occur to the banned account? |
