This is new to me. Getting an invalid cc on file please update i checked balance billing address and zipcode it all matches.used these type of cards before like achieve and ruch card .i checked that card is active even purchased something to check,thwt it works noproblems im at a loss .i think amazon just does not want to payout on this account.has low funds like 100 bucks any idea the cards are debit visa cards do i have to put a vanilla on it and uf so what would,be the difference. Betwen the two types,of cards jesus jumping g through. To many hoops thanks in advance

I read the book its not that i think. Amazon is intentionally making. It fail to,hold the money longer cards are valid no,probleme,just on amazon there is a problem

Went out and,got a good gift card and same problem so its amazon not my method. Ill just take the loss and,let it sit.

I think they're cracking down, I just tried to open up a new seller account and got "The credit card information registered to your seller account is invalid"

Visa Gift Card is valid and has $15 dollars on it ...

I was having trouble with gift cards and never had in the past.

I called my Visa issuer and Amex and told them I lost my cards.

I then got two brand new card numbers in the mail. I then called up visa and amex and said I needed to add "additional shipping addresses" to each card.

This will then allow you to pass the numerical street and zip check...

Cheaper and easier than spending $$ on gift cards.

CITI Visa will also allow me to create a virtual cc that can expire in 90 days. That should work too

Did you use you real name to open those accounts, would they get linked because of that?

Seems like they have finally cracked down on most of the gift cards. Tried 5 so far from various banks that used to work and none of them have been accepted. Uh oh!

It seems they're detecting all Gift Cards and declining them now

I heard that the first 6 digits of the gift card (referred to as the BIN number) are an identifier that tells you what bank issued the card and what type of card it is - debit, credit card etc.

Very simple for Amazon to know exactly what card you're using.

I have the same issue today with vanilla visa. Will try a different prepaid card tomorrow.

Just tried to open a new account and vanilla visa didnt work for me... doesnt seem like a glitch..

tried opening an account and the same invalid credit card issue
used the $25 vanilla master card
it has always worked in the past

Yea none of the gift cards work anymore, call your bank and add a temporary adress, I was able to add one online for chase with out calling. Make sure you have not used the card on amazon, doesnt matter what name you use as long as the adress and zip matched and its have not been used with amazon

that can be done online ,ive tried it.no issue there .but imagine trying to change your address more than 20 or 30 times .wouldnt that sound suspicious

It definitely would ... I think from now on stealth sellers are just going to have to be ALOT more careful from now on about making sure to maintain the few accounts we have.

I used an AMEX gift card today without issue. I had to try it a few times. Make sure you type out the name of the state on the billing address and do not use the acronym.

I use today a Amex Gift Card and it work good, it is Amex Limited Edition "Only the best for you DAD", you can put it 25-500. I put only 25 USD. Enjoy.

I gotta be honest never heard of anyone creating a holding LLC for all their subsequent stealth/ghost accounts. It is a simple concept but pretty Genius I must say. No idea if that is how others do it but props you have given me lots to think about.

I have not been able to find a visa that works. Will be trying some new ones this weekend and will report back.

same thing happened to me amazon is saying they cant disburse my money until i have a valid credit card on file no prepaid. the prepaid cards have always worked before now its not! i will be trying the amex hopefully it works thanks for the tip!

please report back and let us know if the $25 AMEX ones are working. I haven't found any MC/VISAs that still work. Slowly losing accounts here :(

yes i will indeed let you know. i really hope it works. also not to promote but the one account i bought a avs for on this site is the only account that has let my deposit go through without any problems after 1 month--thank you 123 for that!

these amex cards work to create account ... but do they then cause any problems for disbursements?
