Selling FBA with different packaging

I have an item that my supplier is offering me a deal on, but the packaging is different than its Amazon listing. The packaging is genetic white boxed, while the Amazon photos show branded packaging. The item itself though is branded though, and is 100% authentic and identical to what's shown in the listing.

Is it safe to go forward and put it on FBA?

Youd be ok as long as you list the item as "used". Anything but retail boxed needs to be listed as "used". White boxed is bulk packaging.

If your caught it would be a policy violation...

It has be be identical,all you need is a customer complaint and a then you get a policy warning.

I thought FBA mixes up the items of a certain UPC. As in they don't separate them between sellers and they're all lumped together.

Certain items are sent as commingled, however amazon still marks these on receipt so it know which seller has sent certain items.
