Late Dispatch Rate
 

OK so although I send all my items on time I forgot to mark a couple of days worth of orders as dispatched via Amazon this week. As soon as I realised, I went in and marked them as dispatched on the days that they were. This has now caused my Late Dispatch Rate to be down as poor.

Am I going to lose my account or will I be OK?

You probably won't LOSE the account, although it MAY go into review.

If it does go into review, let Amazon know that the items WERE shipped on time and provide them the tracking numbers to prove it. They may also ask for your business plan that shows the steps you plan to take to prevent the problem in the future.

I don't know of ShipStation will work in the UK, but you might want to find a similar service that automates everything. The cost is small compared to what the time savings and automation are worth.

OK, just have to hope it's OK then. Such a stupid mistake to make. I don't send anything tracked so I would have trouble proving it.

We all can make mistakes. Just hope the goods did arrive on time and you don't get any complaints from the buyers to compound the error.

I don't know if tracking is expensive in the UK, but I would never ship ANYTHING on eBay or Amazon today without tracking. But I am in the US, so we might be facing different circumstances.

In this case, all you can do is explain to Amazon that the goods were shipped on time but you were late in actually MARKING them as shipped.

If tracking is not expensive, I highly recommend it. It helps build trust since eBay and Amazon can actually SEE that the items were shipped and when they were received. In the US, it also helps to win seller protection cases.

Jeff, tracking in the UK is expensive, if you are selling goods below £20 it not cost effective. Not like in the US where tracking is now "free" with the Post Office.

It should be fine for now but watch out next month or so. They are going to use the late dispatch rate as a metric and it Will Count as part of your ODR
