amazon selling limit on new accounts?

The search box is not working correctly at this time.
I could have easily found the answer there. Oh well...

So i will have to post my question here:

I have a new amazon account. I made $731 in sales first 2 weeks.

Amazon has put the rest of my inventory into inactive status right now.
There are no notifications as to why.

Q: When will amazon re-activate the other items to start selling (after dispersement)?

Is there a selling limit for new accounts. IDK

No, there is no selling limit on Amazon

Can you reactive them?

When did this happen? If it was just now that it happened, then maybe they just have not sent the notification yet. This is strange, because when Amazon limits your account in some way, or conducts a review, they normally notify you.

There is no pre-set selling limit on Amazon. It used to be that once you hit $750 in sales in a 30 day period, the account would go into review. But that is no longer the case. Now, the review can happen at $200 or $2,000 or anywhere in between.

Like TonyAlmeida asked, can you reactivate them? Is there a yellow box on the top of the seller account screen?

If all your items are inactive, your account is limited or suspended. If your items are still available and up for sale it means your account might just have a reserve held on your balance. Check your notifications button and read the notices.

Re: amazon selling limit on new accounts?

Update: my account was limited with a reserve on the products that were sold.
I've now had two dispersements. One last week and one this week.

Now my sales balance is at $0.

The other two items A and B (3 of each) that are in FBA warehouse still show inactive in my inventory.

i wonder... If I change and edit those to MF and then back to FBA will that reset those to active?

I have read all notifications. Nothing saying anything about why two items are inactive.

Just ask seller support at amazon through seller central, mark it as urgent and you will get quick answer. No point guessing as it could be a million reasons.

Also there are no limits, a review can take place at anytime.

it takes quite alot of time for the velocity review. just wait for 1 week or 2 and request them if any informations are required. i did mine last time, and i guessed if i didnt contact them it would take more than 1 month for the review.

I've always pass the interview by Not responding!! Do as you were doing, make sure you ship on time, get those nerds to leave you feedback and it'll get back on track just fine within 2 weeks. 7 years of doing this, the 2 times i responded and the accounts got suspended. but of course it's your choice ;)

well if youre selling legitimate items, i dont see no reason why u dont want to respond. especially if you are stuck with a lot of items and funds.

Re: amazon selling limit on new accounts?

All 7 of my previous Amazon ghost accounts went under a 28 day new seller review at some point while selling legitimate product via FBA.

I use to make stealth amazon accounts and went to 49 or 50 sales whatever before it asked for ssn ... does it not do that anymore on personal accounts?

Had something similar, new account went into review and skus were suspended from selling and they asked me to forward more info about our business, I didnt respond because we were busy, about 2 weeks later items were back on and selling with no input from me, Its a good job I checked or we would have been suspended for not sending items on time.
I think its something amazon does if you sell too much too soon before enough buyers have left feedback.

kenzamb1415 01-26-2016 11:16 PM

No, I haven't neared 50 items yet but from what I've been reading it's now like 200 items or $20,000
