How to deal with inventory

Just had my first real accounts suspended with still several thousand + pieces of inventory in their FBA warehouse.

1) Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on how to best (re)process that stuff?

a) I realize that some people don't believe that Amazon keeps track of your inventory patterns if sent back and listed to your ghost accounts, while others seem to take a safer route.

b) But with FBA inventory, there's still SKU labels/barcodes of the previous store on them. Best to blackout and cover those up? Or do does that matter even?

Such a pain in the a$$ to go through and relabel 3xxx+ pieces and risk getting the new ghost linked and suspended (happened once already).

2) Still playing around with ghost accounts and I know that everyone's going with new names for the CC's, along with all the other methods. But honestly, If a really common name, Jim Smith gets banned, will Amazon seriously block ALL future Jim Smiths in the Country/World from starting a seller account?? Seems kind of overkill if the CC holder's name is one of the criteria's that guarantee's the flagging of an account doesn't it?

Thanks for the input and your thoughts.

Re: How to deal with inventory

i once had my inventory removed and sent back to me. i thought it was a commingled stickerless item. and i straight away sent them to fba using a new account.

it got checked in and received in full.

few days later. the inventory was zero. it got sent to my previous account which was suspended. i asked them to investigate, and got my full claimed because of lost shipment. im a happy man. haha

so yeah, a safer route was to reprocess everything, but according to this situation, they dont bother.

later, i change to label myself, and use the labelling service and they covered the previous label for me. no issue whatsoever.

you can confirm with seller support of course.

This is where FBA is a real bitch.

You have to remove the stickers, don't black them out as this is obvious its from another FBA account, don't over sticker as all you need is one sticker to come off or miss over stickering one and your busted again.

You need to add new lines as amazon will link you as you have the same stock. The best ratio is 5:1. After 3 months I don't think this applies in my opinion.

Amazon don't check CC name

Had the same problem. Unsticker the old FBA items (hair dryer works best).
Then you are back down to the original UPC and good to go.

Also watch for old labels on the outside of the shipping boxes as well.

Good luck.

Just a bit of advice, we now use NON permanent sticky labels so easy to peel if the problem arises again. If you select amazon to sticker your goods they sticker with a permanent sticker and its a bitch.

I was thinking of having my manufacturer print the FBA barcode directly on the boxes to eliminate extra work and also to give it a more professional look. Bad idea?

No if your sending everything in one shipment, but the label from memory changes with each shipment/consignment to amazon,

I recently started to ask my supplier to label my products. It cost me only about 2usd to print and label 100units. So much worth it.
