Amazon suspension

Wondering if Amazon's suspensions are mostly automated, or are there people actually looking at your account...?

Anyone?

Why does it actually matter?

Re: Amazon suspension

I am having difficulties with putting old stock back up. Just had two accounts come down, and the only way that I can figure is that an automated server realized that I was uploading items from a previous account.

I tried sticking to the 5 to 1 ratio, but I am thinking this is just a myth.

But if someone knows more about this, I would like to know for certain.

Amazon will link you if you list old stock. The ratio of 5:1 should be ideal.

Are you uploading this from a file or manually?

Are you using different merchant sku's?

Is the stock unique to you or is it generic?

Let us know

Uploading from file.

I change all SKU's...note...but prices stay the same

Stock is generic...CDs, VHS, VINYL

Am wondering too, does the 5 to 1 ratio only cover the immediate upload...what if over time you end up listing several thousand things that were previously listed. Wouldn't that be enough to trigger?

Thus my question whether there is someone monitoring, or I just triggered the system for whatever reason.

I certain in your file you have data that is linking you to your old accounts, without seeing the old and new file I cannot say what it is. Maybe something as simple as the file name.

Not to get linked everything and I mean everything has to be different.

From my experience linking on old stock lasts for 90 days.

Amazon is run by computer's, bots whatever. They are programmed to look for similarities for both buyers and sellers. If you get suspended and appeal then your appeal is looked at by a human.

Mainly automated

Re: Amazon suspension

No, I am blocked completely, not suspended.

They are blocking me to past accounts that had negative balances...and any time they link me, I am being blocked out entirely. Sometimes it is after a drop, and I get the money, which is then fine. Sometimes not, which sucks.

Your 90 day theory doesn't seem to be true. I went 18 months up until early this year without triggering anything...then, wham...about five accounts all shut down. And the only way that I have come to believe is stock. I am extremely careful otherwise.

Maybe they just have me tagged...because of whatever abrogations I have made in the past.

The 90 days theory has worked perfectly for me in the past. I would suspect you are getting linked through errors in your methods especially as you are loosing so many accounts.
