They CAN, but so far they are NOT. That would be a LOT OF WORK, because that would not be an automated process. They probably figure if you have passed all of their technology checks, have a bank account and credit card attached, ESPECIALLY with an EIN, then how much more secure would it be if they had people to manually verify these? I don't think it would be worth their time.
Having said that, if your account were to be placed under review for any type of suspicious activity, then I think the odds of them checking for that information increase exponentially. It is hard to know for sure because Amazon is NEVER going to tell you that they banned your account because your LLC information does not match what is in the system.
Besides, with a multi-member LLC, not EVERYBODY is always listed on the Secretary of State's website. Usually, you have to pay for a list of members, at least in many states. |
