Do I need to change my Router?
 
I have everything I need to set up a new Amazon account, New address, New bank, New Laptop and new personal details but I am unsure whether I should change my router as well so that I have everything to start fresh.

The old router was used to connect to my previous laptop which is connected to a banned account.

Can anyone shed some light on this

Just need to change your IP

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. We get our broadband via Talktalk and we have made our IP Dynamic so this changes with every restart.

If your only making one account you can change your router.

If your trying to make multiple. You should look into changing your Routers MAC Adress. ( To change IP adress )

Or you could use a mifi device or dongle or even mobile tethering, as couple of easier options for not needing to trying to change the MAC address, especially if you are just getting going with a few accounts.

MAC address is nothing you need to worry about.

Check your IP before reboot of your router and check after just to confirm you are on dynamic IP. Its amazing how many people don't do this.

Thanks for the info, we are just making the one account so hopefully just changing the IP will work.

I made my stealth account about a week ago with the same router just changed my IP. Everything has been running smoothly

How did you do this ? Can it be done on VM super hub as I left it off overnight and booted up this morning , checked on what's my IP and was still the same !

Can you help me change it and is mine what they call static IP ?
