I used a giftcard from TD Bank for some while for amazon buyer accounts. Small purchases and all, but today I went to try a fresh TD giftcard as a VCC, and blah.... :( And the beauty of that TD giftcard was that you could update the name/address/phone info on it at will through a very convenient interface, and use the same card on different sites (for buying, you know).
Anyway, here's what Amazon had to say about it:
We were unable to verify the credit card information you provided for your seller account. Common reasons for this occurrence are as follows:
1. Invalid expiration date
2. Accidental failure to update card details in seller account after new card was issued by bank
3. Incorrect billing address or card details entered into seller account
4. Bank limits or policies that prevent the charge attempt from being accepted
5. Card is a pre-paid credit card |
