Verifying Account using mobile tied to banned account?
 

I have a phone number that forwards to my cell and has text ability. I am 3/4 done registering for a new seller account when I see they want to verify by calling or texting and are providing a number I am assuming I will need to enter when call/text come through. Fine, BUT

The mobile I'm using is tied to my very active buyer account (which is same seller account that was banned)

Will replying by text or answering call that is forwarded to this phone cause a link?

I just bought another mobile smart phone to use for this account (so I could do business on the fly) but I dont have it activated just yet.

Yes you WILL be linked if you use the same phone number. Have you no landline at your home or use a call forwarding company.

The number is new to Amazon. It is a callfire number that is forwarded to my cell phone.

The same cell I always use including sometimes searching my amazon.

On the verification page in seller central when you click verify phone number you are given a choice by text or call. I clicked call and a 4digit passcode appears while phone call is going through.

I am assuming this passcode is given so that when I answer the phone they ask for the passcode.

I guess it should work out like I thought. I was just worried that sending a text would somehow link but now that I think about it I don't think it would.

You will be fine if the number has never been used.

Amazon will call you (phone is easier), and ask you to input the code on your phone that is displayed on your PC and then you will be verified.
