What does amazon verifiy for my SSN?
 

I got banned from amazon few years ago, that account had my real info but not my SSN.
Now I have a new stealth account (in which I used my first and middle name only) but I need to provide a tax ID, can I use my SSN? I found here that we might get away with names similarities but anything else should be different, so if I want to use my SSN, what does amazon verify from my SSN? Only name? or name and address? If I use my UPS mail box address would it work for the SSN verification?

When Amazon verifies your SSN, they send it to the IRS. The IRS returns a code of MATCH or NO MATCH. If the name appears differently than the name on your Social Security Card, it will come back as a NO MATCH.

So IRS just match the name, not the address .. that's good to know .. not sure why amazon asks for the address in the tax id information page ..
