Does the site check if the card on the account is valid every time before a disbursement?

There is charge of 1 when you initially enter the card. This is later reversed. But nothing appears before disbursement. So, is there another way for them to check the card without charging?

It is not false. I have been selling on Amz for many, many years.

Every disbursement I get from Amz, I see that they do either a £1 or £2 check every time.

Every time without fail. You have to have funds on the card at all times to be safe.

I only get that once every 2-3 months so it must your vcc/prepaid or whatever sh** cards you are using.

And as I said, I run an account for a year with my personal lost debit card..

I am not using sh*t cards boy. I use real cards, never prepaid / vcc

Saying Amz only check a card every 2 to 3 months is pure bullsh*t.

maybe your doing high revenue in single account and Ama dont want to give a penny away to you without verifying every single transaction.

Yes, very high revenue here, that is one reason they will do the pre authorisation check.

Seriously though, it is a known fact that funds should always be on the card at all times as you never know when they will check the card.

You talk ****, every disbursement day amazon will do a $1 or £1 pre authorisation, simple as that.

I talk from being one of the few invited members to sell amazon.co.uk many many years ago.

I don't need to argue with you, the fact is, if your card is not valid you account will be limited to your details page and you have to enter a new credit card number which has to be verified to gain access to seller central again.

That is what I was telling him when he was chatting sh*t earlier on, but he seems to think otherwise and is confusing members.

He probably only makes a tenner a week or something like that and / or has no understanding of a pre authorisation check.

There is so much sh*t being spread on the forums lately. Getting really annoying.

Totally agree, problem is anyone can say anything they want and so many people believe it. Being generous tenor a week, most probably does not even sell anything.

Seriously, you obviously have no idea of how Amz works. This is basic. Not hard.

Strange how every, and I mean every seller on Amz gets a pre authorisation check before disbursement but not you...

bartalion, sorry buddy but don't give false info. The basic rule with amazon is that the credit card on file must be valid and just before disbursement, Amazon will do a pre-authorisation for $1 or £1 to to verify the card. If the card fails you have to enter a valid card to access your seller account.

What would the logic be in that. The answer it checks all accounts. If you want to try this, just change the expiry on your card 1 days before disbursement.

It would show your disbursement failing as the credit card on file was not valid. You cannot see that, WOW another bright spark in the pack.......

Boy, are we feisty.
Your experiment would prove that if I change some details Amazon would check the card of my account at time of disbursement.
It would not prove that Amazon checks the card whether you change details or not and would not prove that that would happen on all Amazon accounts.

Jeez, can you try and not make this personal? I don't think I know you so all I have to go with is what is written in this forum. 150 years experience still would not change logic. Also, such experience in a constantly changing environment hardly makes it gospel.

Some people here say they have been disbursing with cards that they have cancelled a long time ago. So what gives?

People can say its snowing in the Philippines, 100c at the North Pole. People can say anything, does not mean its true though. SIMPLE FACT, amazon check the CC on file before disbursement. Check some of today's posts.

These "delusional" people are the ones that got us back up and running on AZ after having our 1.2 mill/year ripped out from under us. I would trust what they post every time because of that.
Always remember: when a proven expert says you are wrong, recheck your facts from a different angle. Chances are they are right. It only takes an open mind to see things clearly.

i dont want to add any heat to the argument, but 6 months ago, i used a cancelled debit card and disbursment still went through. this was Amazon UK.

it might change now. which i do believe it has changed.
