Amazon European Law?

Hey everyone,

I have really been struggling to utilize the search function on this forum, and yes i used advanced search, but was still the same...

I just been hit with a red flag notification on my UK Amazon, asking me to upload docs as a new european law to confirm identity etc (just like paypal limit removal)

I have never heard of this before...

is this normal?

Usually more chance of it happening on a PRO account than on an Individual account although that can happen as well

This is standard now, pro account almost as soon as you open, Individual 3 or 4 weeks later once amazon realise you are not a private seller.

what was your recent experience like?

was there any trigger like your sales amount or revenue etc? for Ind and pro account?

PRO account you don't even need to start selling and you will be asked for it.

However, they will let you start listing items before sending these request bits of information in. If they aren't happy then they remove listings etc.

After about £500 sales within a few weeks they said I was not an individual seller and need to update my business information. They suspended the account until they got all the info.

Re: Amazon European Law?

hey, though i would re open this thread as i have some new news..

Amazon are now asking me for:
Require documents: letter of authorisation issued to ***user name ***.

1) the letter should be on a business letter head containing busines name and point of contat name

2) document should be signed by legal representative of business

I really do not know what they are talking about?

yes i can be creative, but i am unsure of this needs to contain legal info, or can just be a business headed letter signed by myself?

Whats more is all of this is being asked by amazon uk in english, but the amazon account is registered with spanish address and phone etc.

anyone got any ideas?
