Timing on Amazon account

I am wondering if I can hear from people who have put up Amazon accounts that have previously been suspended...and specifically, with regard to going slow to make sure you do not trigger Amazon's suspicions.

I have in the past put up a few items, had various people buy them, and get about 10 feedback under my belt...then, after two drops (one month) I put more and more bigger items up.

I am wondering what those in the same position have been doing, and what, if anything, is the consensus on building up momentum. When do you feel you are out from under the watchful eye?

(I sell media, so, it is a pretty risky category...)

Anyway...would love to hear from others.

Thanks!

Re: Timing on Amazon account

What exactly are you concerned about?
Amazon is always watching...

I list right away and sell.
I try not to cross inventory but when I do I make sure I have at least five items NOT listed on other accounts for every item I am intending to actually sell.

If I stick up 10,000 items immediately Amazon will shut that account down in a flat second.

In my understanding, you need to move slow, put up things incrementally.

I am just wondering what others think about that.

I am not sure what that means. Can you elaborate?

Re: Timing on Amazon account

Just go slow, you have to build accounts slowly, especially now we approaching Q4 and need to maximise sales in December.

The ratio is 5 new items to 1 old item (previously listed)

If you want to list 10,000 items the only way is using FBA.

Re: Timing on Amazon account

I have had 60,000 items before...

Is this not doable anymore?

Or, are you saying, that I can't list so many items before December?

If you build an account overtime of course is possible to list so many items, but a new account you will almost certainly go into review.
