What happens to the balance on my Amazon Seller Account if I close it?
 

Hi, I was thinking of closing my Amazon Seller Account soon but noticed that Amazon still owes me some money. I'm still on the two week reimbursement schedule Amazon has. I was hoping someone could explain to me what happens to my balance if I close my account and the balance is still being withheld by amazon? I would be closing my account in good standing meaning that I was not suspended or anything like that. I just would want to close my account even though I'm still waiting on money to be disbursed by Amazon.

Just wait 2 weeks then close your account. Why are you so desperate to close your account.

Even if you close your account amazon still retains all the data, it does not just disappear.

So if i did close the account, I would still get paid? Just after two weeks?

I doubt anyone would know. We aren't in the habit of closing our own accounts.

As the other member stated, if you're trying to cover your tracks, it won't do any good. Don't kid yourself.... :spy:

Wait until you have the funds in your bank account before closing your account if you want to be safe about receiving funds. If you're trying to disappear, closing your account won't do much as amazon will still have your information.
