Getting approved for selling DVD almost impossible on Amazon!
 

I just had to get a business account approved for listing and selling in DVD category. Even with a known company name stupid Amazon seller support was giving me a hard time such as please provide docs that unicorns are real!

If I didn't have access to an Amazon purchasing manager that is assigned to that accout and who went and knocked on a few stupid heads and I got a letter in 3 hours saying 'we are sorry everything is ungated now' I don't think it is even possible to get an approval for DVDs!

Now I feel for people that are trying to get ungated for a category on amazon!

And next if you are competitive with amazon you will be suspended for selling "counterfeits". DVD full price,chart is virtually impossible to compete in once seller fees are deducted. End of line, overstocks, still good money to be made.

its almost holiday season, amazon is starting to lock down all major categories. only know big companies get approved to sell in highly restricted categories.

Yes. At the end of the day, it's for the best for everyone. The less counterfeiters, the more money people with authentic products will make.

I know OP isn't selling phakes, BUT, it being hard for a REAL business to get unrated, means phakes DEFINITELY aren't going to get in.

IT is getting close to the holiday season and Amazon does ramp up its security
