Credit card trouble for UK Amazon

A friend is saying that none of his credit cards are working in the UK. Has anyone issues with using their credit card to open up a Seller's account in the UK?

All credit cards works, gift cards no. You just have to ensure you card is set up for overseas transactions.

I don't use Vanilla personally - too widely used in the past. I use another type.

Some gift cards are debit cards, other gift cards are not. That is probably the different in the gift card you guys are using if I had to guess.
