I tend to use FBA much more now as its pretty much the best way to guarantee you the buybox (not always) meaning LOTS of sales per day, i sent them 300 items and within 5 days sold 205 of them using FBA as i automatically got the buybox for using FBA, never did have buybox when not using FBA.
Other advantages are you not having to run to the post office if you have a busy schedule, let amazon take all the orders and dispatch for you.
Also, if you get a negative feedback and the order was fulfilled by FBA they usually remove the feedback and take the blame.
Some downfalls of using FBA is how much are you willing to take a hit on your profits, you need to pay your fee % plus the cost of FBA, so make sure before you send them anything youre not going to be losing out.
UK fees are (i think) 12% of final sale price then 20% (vat)
so for instance i sell my FBA stock for 9.50, the FBA fee is £2.06 and fees on top of that are 12% £9.50 is £1.14 then 20% VAT on top of that, so all in my fees & FBA fee cost me £3.43 and my item costs £3.50, so turning a profit of £2.57, but selling loads via FBA, other downfall is it gets very competitive when another seller is FBA and you end up competing with each other on pricing.
Anyway, im mumbling on, good luck, personally i like FBA - Just dont put all your eggs into one basket with that mob. |
