Shipping Charges

I want to give free shipping on an item However, I have had problems in the past when buyers order more than one. Because of the weight of the item I can offer free shipping on 1 item, but when they buy more than 1 I start losing money on the shipping. Is it possible to set up shipping so that there is a shipping charge if they buy more than 1? Alos, shipping would be more for the 2nd, 3rd etc Is it possible to set it up this way/

This really baffles me that you make money on 1, but lose money when it's more than 1.

Why don't you send in multiple separate shipments?

Yea that doesn't make sense to me unless 1 item weights 7-13oz so 2 items would put you in priority mail status

What're your numbers?

makes no sense what so ever. if you have to ship each items by itself then do that but no way to lose money when buyers makes multiple purchases. Just doesnt add up at all
