Using Checking & Savings on Different Accounts
 

Is it safe to use the checking and savings account for Amazon disbursement on two different accounts? When I opened the account it came with both checking and savings, it has different routing numbers.

I already use the checking account routing number for my original account, would it be ok to use the savings accounts routing number for disbursements from one of my stealth accounts?

You will be fine. However there have been a few issues with BOA savings accounts

Thanks, it's not BOA, it's Huntington Bank. I've seen some post here where others have said Huntington is ok for mismatched names but they are older post. I guess I will find out. The checking account I get the disbursements is in my real name(original Amazon account all real info), im using the stealth account under my fist and middle name (my middle name is a last name also) so I don't think it should be a issue.

I believe huntington bank will allow mismatched names. You should be alright.

I just realized my checking and savings have the same routing number but different account numbers. Is it safe to use the same routing number? Or just open a new checking/savings?

Bank routing number or routing transit number (RTN) is a nine digit number used to identify a financial institution in a transaction. So yes you are OK

Same routing number is fine - no linking issue there

Just a update, Huntington Bank accepted my deposit with a mismatched name. I've seen older threads saying they were ok, but nothing newer confirming if they still did. So just wanted to let people know they are still Ok.

routing number belongs to bank. everyone uses the same in that state :)
