Warned by Amazon to stop reselling
 

Amazon Warned me that if I'm reselling items on another site to stop because of the amount of orders I'm putting in. I'm going to stop using that account completely. My question is, I have an Amazon gift card that I was using to purchase the items that still has a lot of money on it. Can I use that card with the new account?

Are you shipping the goods to different addresses or all shipping to you direct.

If shipping to you direct they cannot prove anything. Just say you are the amazon buyer for your company.

he's obviously using amazon as drop shipper and amazon doesnt like that at all. you are lucky they gave u a warning.

Answer to the gift card is that it could go either way under their terms. Might be a good idea to do something like make one final purchase of a single expensive item that uses all the money on the gift card, sending it to you. Their terms do say they can void gift cards associated with accounts that violate terms. And, their terms say you can't transfer a gift card balance to another account, except by getting special permission, which they don't have to give.

Can you share how long you've been drop shipping via Prime, and about how many orders you did before they complained? (Or, about the daily number of orders.)

While I haven't had this issue with a gift card to use, you could probably safely use it on a buying account only - just stealth setup to avoid linking still applies

I had 1400 sales this year. Started the Biz end of Jan 2015. maybe I'll just wait on using the gift card a few weeks/month and only buy stuff for myself with it.

This month has been pretty crazy though 20-25 sales per day. that's what probably triggered it.

Lucky you that they are give you a warning. 20-25 order per day and ship to all different address? You might kiss a good bye to your remain balance on the gift card some day.

The gift card is just one issue but the shipping address is the one that will nailed you.

Just ship direct to you and you ship them out to your customer and give the small cut to USPS than you don't need to worry about amazon block your account anymore

Avoid the risk of spending the gift card on a stealth account in case of being linked

Read the sensible advice from bcarneal. Snce amazon control the card on their terms, spend wisely or forfeit.

Use the gift card to buy Amazon email gift cards that can be safely used on another account. If you have £1000 by 10 x £100 email gift cards for Amazon use. That's what id do anyway

You CAN'T use and Amazon gift card to buy a gift card :)

I'd just rinse the balance on something you need yourself and open another account. Don't think you need to stealth a buyer account, i know a few people dropshipping and they opened another with the same card.
They don't like you abusing prime as they lose money out of it even with the average customer so when you use it 20x a day they lose a lot of money

Amazon NEVER lose money from selling an item. They just don't want to use them as your warehouse

Just an FYI, Just because something is capable in 1 Country....does not mean it's capable in another.
