help with amazon account/email

I received this email today:

Hello,

We have decided that you may sell on Amazon.com while we review your account. A reserve equal to your gross sales amount for the preceding 90 days will apply while your account is under review. Based on your order volume, the amount of the reserve may change daily.

When your account balance exceeds this reserve amount, you will be able to transfer funds based on your settlement schedule. You can view the details on the Payments page in the Reports section of Seller Central (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/...t-summary.html).

Please continue to ship orders and only list items that you can send by the expected ship date.

To learn more about account reviews, search for "Velocity Limits and Account Reviews" in Seller Central Help.

We will send you an email when our review is complete.

Sincerely,

Seller Performance Team
Amazon.com

should i respond? how should i respond? my metrics are very good im not sure what the issues is. I did get a email a few days ago from amazon saying they removed my listings for hoverboards BUT the listings they removed were not actual hoverboards, it was the case you carry them in. they asked me to provide information on the battery and charger as to it being safe but of course i couldn't because it was just cases. NOW i did have some actual hoverboards listed a few weeks before this but i removed them way before this even happening because i had inventory issues. any information would be very helpful, ty

Re: help with amazon account/email

I've received the same email from seller-performance. Perfect feedback, metrics are excellent. Over $1.5M in gross sales. All invoices/suppliers have been verified etc.

That's until we listed the "hoverboards". All hoverboards are banned from Amazon until documentations have been provided. Not a single ASIN is listed.

If anyone can verify that this review is related to the hoverboard and or sales increase for the holiday season. I will gladly appreciate any advice/opinion.

This isn't about safety. It is about patent lawsuits. Amazon is afraid of being held liable if one of these lawsuits results in a patent infringement judgment.

Here is an article in USA Today covering the patent lawsuits:

And here is an article at Ecommercebytes.com describing Amazon's actions:

Will Amazon Hoverboard Crackdown Be a Boon to eBay?

Jeff, Are we required to provide the documentations requested by Amazon in-order to pass the review/not get suspended? We mostly sell in the "Electronics Category". As We no longer have any stock of the "hoverboards" and or don't have any plans to sell them in the future. This was only a "trial run" for us to test the market.

Segway (the original 'hoverboard' maker) was bought by a chinese company. Theirs are the standard price as the other 'chinese crap'
Ninebot they're called, buy from them and they'll give you all the certificates you need
