Is Amazon worth selling on?
 

Hey guys, I was wondering if Amazon is even worth selling on? I am currently doing drop shipping on ebay but I heard bad things about Amazon.

I was going to do it a few years back but there were too much competition. Seems much more competitive than ebay. They also are a lot stricter from the research i've done.

I don't think Amazon would be a good idea for a drop-shipper, since you're competing with AZ prime who delivers within like 10 minutes. Also, AZ is even more competitive now than it was a few years ago.

If you're going to give it a try, wait until you have your own inventory.

Amazon does have better prices a lot of the time, but they also hold sellers to a higher standard than eBay (who hold sellers to a pretty high standard!) so its not ideal for a drop shipping bossiness

Amazon takes forever to sell anything, I can put up a BIN on ebay and it will be sold an hour later and for not so popular items 1 day auctions sell almost every time the next day.

I listed something on amazon for a test to see if anyone was going to buy it. I forgot that I was selling this item and it was listed on amazon for a year before I took it down. No one bought it and it's an item that sells very well.

This question depends HEAVILY on the type of items being sold. Some things won't hardly sell at all on Amazon simply because the types of people looking for those items are assuming Amazon isn't the best place to find them. Others sell 5x better on Amazon than ebay. Sometimes profit after fees is higher on Amazon, sometimes on Ebay.

Depends so heavily on what your market is that it's almost impossible for anyone here to give you an answer (unless you give inventory details, which I wouldn't recommend). It wouldn't hurt you to list your inventory on Amazon and see what happens - even if you just get a couple per month, it would be a way for you to "age" a great account which will help you if you NEED to sell more on Amazon in the future.

Yeah really depends on the product, some of the products I sell, sell by far more on amazon than ebay and at a much higher price while others are more geared towards ebay etc so depends on your product, doesn't hurt to try both

Definitely depends on what you are selling, I have the same things listed Amazon & ebay and get 10 times the sales on Amazon. I actually have them listed a few $ cheaper on ebay and never sell as many as I sell on Amazon.

DROPSHIPPING + AMAZON = SCREWED

No offense , Just an opinion . However try to dropship items which dont put the invoice (branding of the webstore) and FAST SHIPPING. You should be ok
