Preference to Business accounts
 

Hi,

Wondering how to get my name on the product detail page where it says sold by so and so... Before you can see me you have gotta click more offers . I'm talking about the place where it says for example ' 5 new from £9.99' you click this and you see the rest of the sellers offers on a particular product. I have got the lowest price and I've got over 50 feedback 5 star positive but still not the first....

It looks to me that because I am an individual seller that I will never be chosen to be displayed on the initial product page. Is there preference to business accounts , for example UK sole proprietor ?

Its down to your feedback, you need to get a really good feedback rating, then just like ebay you get upgraded to effectively a power seller. Amazon dont tell you when this has happened, but you will notice your sales spike and you will see yourself as the featured merchant. The other option is to use FBA as that always lists as a featured merchant, even if your feedback is really bad.

Oh I see I thought it's dependent on whether you are business seller or not, because I have high feedback rating 5 stars aswell. But wasn't displayed as featured merchant. But now I plan to use fba anyway, looks like better sales with it

This is not always the case.

I run multiple accounts and on one of them I have turned the private seller to business seller, just to see if I'd notice any difference. In all honesty, I noticed a DROP in sales for 2 months after I switched to Business account, compared to my other accounts. Then it slowly picked up again, but nothing really that different compared to other accounts.
All accounts are at 100% and no defects or problems, so its pretty even testing field for me.
Product changes, I'm not selling the same stock across all accounts, but it seems like what really dictates the pace of my sales is the listing title+description quality AND pricepoint.

Hmm yes I agree with the overall listing quality as in pictures, price and description is an important factor.

What I don't understand is that I have listed my own product and I'm still not on the buy box for it although I'm the only seller selling it. You have to click '1 new' before you see my price and name... My account is an upgraded individual to pro aswell
