Heard about amazon giving refunds to buyers with no return and debiting seller accounts?

Well that happened to me and I have no funds to pay it.

Was wondering where I stand legally as I was an individual when this happened and only sold for 1-2 months.

Amazon sent me a series of refund initiated emails, no contact and told the customers to throw away the boards. Did not even contact me about my items.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Its very bad. At least I did not sell many on Amazon. I am wondering if its worth it to just pay it for the sake of not being banned on amazon forever due to non payment.

It'll virtually wipe out all my profits on the sales I made only, I won't lose any investment as my products were legit and I managed to prevent most buyers asking for refunds themselves ontop of the instant Amazon refunds.

Some people lost in excess of £100,000 but I imagine they'll be going to court.

Customers havent been refunded because Amazon cannot take the money from me, so they're opening AZ guarantees!

Up to you, I wouldn't, they already take like 15% of my sales I wouldn't fancy donating 100s/1000s on top too lol.
Most solicitors have a hour or so free consultation, see what they say. Should be fairly simple to use the small claims court form online though.
Some guy who lost 200k to amazon will be along soon to say you can't take amazon to court in the UK but definitely can lol

in your case when you mention that you dont have any funds to pay does it mean the funds disbursed earlier to your bank account and your seller account balance wasnt sufficient so its now in negative when amazon reimbursed buyers

lol exactly from the customers who haven't asked for a refund they've near enough made back what they put on my seller account.

To be honest I don't sell on there and have no intention to so I don't care. But its in my real name. I was also listed as an individual not business and when they did this they told me to register as business. No doubt some legal tactics there.

lol If he says that, then they cannot take me to court too as I haven't paid them a cent.

Btw won't they come after me for like £4k? Not that I'm afraid as they don't have a leg to stand on.

I havent sold a thing on there since October.

My AMZN account is on minus, yes.

Nothing out of my bank as the one I used has nothing in it anyway.

Amazon UK, did not automatically refund any sold through the amazon market place, however I believe they are holding a lot of money.

We got 11pcs as a test, happy I didn't go for a container as UKBF together with Trading Standards are saying less the 80% meet EU spec's the confidence has been lost in this product.

Expect they'll sell the debt to a debt collection agency, you should definitely have a chat with a solicitor about it

My supplier told me she lost over 6 thousand dollars, trying to sell this. Even tried to sell to me. 200 bucks, eBay sells it for 299, no thanks.

You have the wrong information.

They applied about 20 refunds to my account one morning. Email after email "refund initiated for order ID...".

Didn't even get a heads up. Called them and they said we just started looking into this, this was after being told am I sure Im not being hacked. Farcical.

They also told everyone to get refunds from their buyers.

Ever heard of Amazon chasing debt/selling it to a debt collection agency?

Amazon have told me to prove my product is safe when I just kicked up a fuss on what they did.

Any advice on this too?

They haven't said what'll happen if I do.

Well biggest question then is what proof do you have that your product is safe?

Not sure, I know ebay do with smaller payments, expect Amazon might put more effort in to get it back themselves for 4k

Can the manufacturer provide you with the certification to prove they meet EU standards?

lets be real, anyone selling hover boards on amazon and are here are prolly selling the f@ke ones. the real ones cost 599 plus while f@kes are 60% of that. everyone wanted to ride to hover board train and its a shame that china fudged it with this device with the cheap quality materials to bring the price down but at the end of the day amazon is looking out for amazon .
