New Metrics

Amazon has separated ODR for seller fulfilled and FBA. they said it would go into effect starting in January.

"Changes to Seller Performance Metrics Display
Oct 26, 2015

Beginning in January 2016, Amazon will evaluate your selling performance by seller-fulfilled and Amazon-fulfilled orders separately.

To help sellers prepare for this change, Amazon changed the way we display seller performance metrics. Sellers can now view separate performance metrics by seller-fulfilled and Amazon-fulfilled orders. Using the new display, sellers can quickly identify performance problems in both fulfillment channels"

My ODR is well over 1 percent since January 1st, however I have not been suspended.

Has anyone been suspended since January 1st for their seller fulfilled ODR going over 1 percent?

Re: New Metrics

I should ask if anyone's ODR went over 1 percent on January 1st for seller fulfilled and their account is still fine

Re: New Metrics

I have an account that is always around 3.8% defect rate. It is mostly for late shipments and it has lasted nearly a year with a mix of suspensions but always reinstated. This is a drop shipping account and sometimes tracking is delayed.

I think that 1% defect really depends on what the defect is from.

Re: New Metrics

I have no negative feedback All of the orders that count against defect rate are A to Z claims. Most of them are just buyers not contacting me first and just filing a claim for a defective product, nothing I can do about that. I'm amazed that you can have that high of a defect rate for so long I guess it's case by case on each account I have had this account for about 3 years, they probably take that into account along with other factors.

Re: New Metrics

1% defect rate for A-Z claims is quite different that 3.8 out of every 100 orders having tracking loaded slower than it should.

This account was suspended more than a dozen times for defect rate. Always get back on with a simple appeal. I expect it to be dead at one point or another but I will run it as long as I can.

Re: New Metrics

So I take it that all yours were from negative feedback because people complained of late shipments?

No, just that tracking was not loaded within stated handling time. No negatives really. Just defects based on slow shipping metrics.
Now amazon is requiring it to be 2 days, so this account will die and I will not sell those items on amazon. Sucks, but I cant do anything about it. It is a large bulky item. Shipping myself or using FBA wipes out profit. Good while it lasts.

Some of my items have a handling time of 3 days They still show 3 days Where are you getting the information that they will require 2 days?

Also, I was speaking of ODR which is negative feedback, A to Z and Credit Card disputes Anything else like late shipments do not count against ODR

Re: New Metrics

Amazon will soon require tracking to be loaded within 2 business days as part of the new tracking requirement.

Re: New Metrics

I always put tracking in within 2 days I take it they will still allow a longer handling time?

Thanks for the info!
