| GtPro12 | 01-13-2016 10:49 PM | Vm ware Hi guys. I just signed up to 24vc and vmware.so I'm no techy so was confused a bit about vmware. When I have to add an OS like window 7 8 10 or windows xp. Do I have to buy a hard copy and install it to my vmware or is it a download version from somewhere? Sorry guys if this is one of those questions that make you smack your forehead and shake your head moments. I'm just stumped. Thanks guys |
Re: Vm ware Hi, can simply download an .iso image of the OS you wish to use from online |
| GtPro12 | 01-13-2016 11:28 PM | Re: Vm ware Would you be able to tell me from where?
I have your vm ware guide but it didn't explain the OS installation or anything like that. |
Re: Vm ware Yeah can simply get it off torrents or just buy a cheap CD off ebay for XP either way works |
| Taking The Micky | 01-14-2016 01:09 AM | Re: Vm ware Why use VM ware. Why not a new new user on the pc, far easier and I have never had problems running several accounts on 1 MacBook |

| onlinehelpneeded | 01-14-2016 03:43 PM | Re: Vm ware can just create a new user for each account
i use both and vmware can be used by buying xp for 20 quid off ebay or downloading it (be careful of viruses) |

You can carry the VM around and use it on other computers too. If you use separate user accounts on a PC outside of a VM, sure it'll work. However if that PC fails for whatever reason, you can kiss those accounts good bye. |

eg if you have 5 accounts and use a browser and vpn to open your accounts, how do you then open another browser window without any linkage ? |

So there is no possibility of information leaking from one VM to another. Each of my VM's has it's own portable firefox on the virtual hard drive, and each VM is also configured to connect to it's own dedicated VPN. If you understand the configuration, it's the perfect stealth solution in my opinion. Switching between accounts is 10x faster than it would be when using User Accounts. VM's are also portable which makes backup's really simple, plus you can access your accounts from any computer, any where.
I also store all of my VM's on a flash drive, as well as my laptops hard drive and a backup portable hard drive. My stealth setup is 100% secure and double redundant. |

I was just in your shoes last week. I ordered XP Professional from ebay for $22 free ship. Arrived in a few days and installs like a charm. I've been able to do multiple installs with the same disk as well. |

my 4 accounts all suspended in 30 mins. since then, what i do is each cheap pc for one single account.
it's a stupid way, but it's the safest way.
seems i need to learn more to steath.
Tony set up a good sample to be learnt. |

what i can only tkink of is that even we use different user account, there are still something shared in this pc, that's why amazon can detect it.
to set up amazon account becoming harder and harder, i dare not to use this method. |

Cloak_d, some ebay scammer just made $22 minus fees off you. The eBay seller downloaded XP from the pirate bay, burned it on a CD, and sold to you. Either that, or he got it for $3 from a Chinese wholesaler who downloaded XP from the pirate bay and burned to CD.
Nevertheless, torrents aren't for everyone. Paying for your bootleg copy is also an option. | As a start, you do realize Windows XP is a 14 year old OS which Microsoft has abandoned years ago right? |

$22 for an OS that's no longer being supported is not uncommon, and jumping to the conclusion someone bought a counterfeit copy right off the bat like that is just absurd. |
| onlinehelpneeded | 01-15-2016 02:39 AM | Re: Vm ware why would you require support for xp anyway ?
also why does no one use windows 10, surely its faster and better for vmware |
| London1234 | 01-15-2016 04:15 AM | Re: Vm ware I use VMware workstation 12 and Windows 7 32bit for Vms. 64 bit for the host.
One point to mention here is how much RAM has your computer got? Each of your VMs will need at least 1gb RAM to run....2gb would be better. So using VMware with only 2gb RAM installed on your host machine is pretty pointless - will just be very slow. |

| TonyAlmeida | 01-15-2016 08:32 AM | Re: Vm ware With VMWare, don't use the latest version. I found version 8 or 9 is best. It is smaller and run faster |

I don't need all the visual effects of Windows 7 in my virtual environments. I set up all my Win XP VM's with 1gb RAM and 10gb HDD, but they could run smoothly on 512mb RAM. My laptop only has 4gb RAM (state of the art two years ago) and all my VM's run perfectly smooth. |

| Bazubi | 02-02-2016 07:09 AM | Re: Vm ware Interesting discussion.
Here's a question that was never asked here in the forum:
Do you know if Amazon sees the windows unique version (like build # or serial #)?
Can they link if I'm installing a Windows ISO in VMware again after that specific ISO ran a banned account?
I'm asking to know if I can use the same "burned" windows ISO/DVD for new VM I open... |

| perfect30 | 02-03-2016 05:58 AM | Re: Vm ware For the VM Ware I use I have to install everything seperately. Since it is a different computer than your actual computer it is a clean basic version of Windows with nothing installed.
I do not want to hijack this topic but I have some VM questions myself. Whenever I start up one of my virtual computers it really takes a long time to start up and after that it is still slow, even though I assign about 4GB ram to it.
Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this? Swithing from one account to the other almost takes 10 minutes.
I was considering to start to use Firefox portable rather than virtual computers. Can someone give me some pointers what to look out for when using this?
Is changing IP enough or do I also need to delete flash cookies every time when I switch accounts? |
