Changing IP can create the issue
 

Hello,


I access my account from office and it has different IP. In weekends I want to access from hope and I am planning to use dedicated IP. This change in IPS over weekends could create the issue? Please advice.

It would only be an issue if the dedicated IP you're planning to use has been used for eBay before. Other than that, accessing your account from two IP's is fine.

But if you're going to buy a dedicated IP, you might as well just use it full time (work and home).

if you use a work ip and many people use this, other workers with there ebay then yes it could be a problem

You can use 100 IPs a day and that is fine. It is using IPs regularly that have a history or suspended accounts.

THANKS . I will limit to use only 1 IP which is dedicated at home.

You can use teamviewer if it is only a couple days a week. Only problem would be is if you lost power at home or needed to restart the computer.

yeah I just decided to switch to new dedicated fresh ip for permanent solution. thank you for the suggestions. team viewer was great idea though.

If you're talking about a VPN, it's worth noting that you can use the VPN regardless of where you are (work or home).

I can't use VPN from office because of network restrictions. I am IT guy too :)

Haha I used to use VPN's in school to bypass network restrictions, but I suppose all networks are designed differently.

Logmein also works but same issue if power is lost.

You could use a VPS for both the office and home, connect to it from both locations and you always have the same IP

My mistake. I don't know much about amazon so I only contribute to networking questions in this realm. I just put the wrong word, but the advice still applies.

Since we are mentioning 3rd party remote terminal viewers, good ol' Microsoft RDC would also accomplish the same thing, but it would be subject to the same limitations as the other two.
