Re-using existing or old dongle

Using a dongle that gives me an IP of 123-456-789-XXX where XXX changes to about 50 different #'s.
Same dongle will also give me IP of 123-4-567-XXX.

Can I re-use the dongle for a second account with this rotating IP addresses.
Would I need to replace the SIM card on an old dongle that also has the rotating IP addresses, or are SIM's invisible?

All other details; as usual; would be new and clean.
Just looking at recycling the dongles if possible.

Thanks

Re: Re-using existing or old dongle

the dongle is just the sim holder and software.
you can replace the sim, that is the ip.
same brand sim will probably have similar amount of variations, may even be same repeat ips.
would have thought a big brand does not repeat much or ever, and repeats are ok, as long as not on same day, as those ips are in a pool that is first come first served by all users.

You will be fine, just remove the dongle each time you access one of your accounts so the IP changes.

the sim card is not the ip..
It is the COMPANY who assigns the IP ranges. So 3 will have one range and Orange will have another.. so to change the IP range you need to buy another dongle because they are network locked

Why not think of getting a brand new IP range?

Not a fan of reusing a batch of numbers and trying to look different for amazon

If your supplier is Verizon,T Mobile etc you are never going to get linked for the same IP. Millions of people use there gateways to connect to amazon.

Great idea to follow OP - simple SIM card provider change is needed.

I know all about ip and that it is the service provider through the sim, I was just trying to break it down simply to differentiate that the dongle is just a plastic casing.

he can buy a different sim and dongle if he wants but actually even the same sim he was using before is probably ok, I may be wrong about his particular provider so he may want to play it safe but generally nowadays you do not get tiny ranges or statics/stuck ips....testing it and reading ip on/off/on/off several times will give you good idea..

Re: Re-using existing or old dongle

Just tested Telus.

Mobile stick gives 123 456 78 xxx
Phone 123 456 78 yyy
2nd phone 123 456 78 zzz

xxx through to zzz can range from 0-230. All in the same physical location.
If used 4000 miles away, I still get the same patterns of numbers for the IP.

If the SIM is not traceable on AZ, then re-using these should not be a link on it's own, especially with how many people are mobile on AZ on any given day.

Logic (to me) says that Browser fingerprinting would be more important and combined with the IP set of #'s would create the linking.
By using these IP #'s and a clean, new browser should be safe (along with the rest of the normal rules and routines).

Please correct if my logic is not Spock Proof :bounce:

Thanks

you need to keep a record of the ip addresses used so you dont use the same for different accounts

easy enough to do on whatismyip and a spreadsheet

No you don't, the pool is big enough and amazon will be aware the IP's are coming from a mobile provider.

That's what I thought also. Too many people on mobile devices these days to suspend an account (buyer or seller) for having the same IP.
