How many negative feedbacks do you get before you are banned?
 

Is it that after a certain percentage of your sales get negative feedback then you get banned?

No exact number. All depends on the age of the account, why you have been given the neg and how it effects your overall score

I don't think negative feedback matters as much as cases and disputes. I've seen young accounts with plenty of negative feedback but still running strong and selling. But i bet if those accounts got cases/disputes for each of those negative feedbacks the account would have been gone.

Feedback is an after thought, before a buyer gets to feedback, cases have been open, and if a large percentage of cases per transactions are opened over a short period of time flags go up and your account will be reviewed

And if all the cases have similar stories like item not genuine , your account will be closed possibly before any negative feedbacks are even left. thats just one example

Firstly you have to ask yourself why you are getting negative feedbacks and sort the problems before they escalate into suspension. It will work on a percentage of sales to negative feedbacks. So if you are selling 5000 units a week and get one negative you will be fine. Selling 10 units and getting a negative a flag will be raised.

Yes, work on customer service, if you keep your customers happy there should be no issues, the reason I recently lost a non stealth account turning over 20k a month was due to dropshipping company messing me about.


I am still dealing with refunds and complaints.

No I'm doing private label selling. And will use FBA. just takes a while to get it up and running, need reviews etc.

Dropshipping companies can kill an account quickly if the quality is not known previously - research is in order.

I assume you are talking about ebay? the seller standards are based on percentages. Right now, until the new sellers standards go into effect, negative feedback still counts as a defect. The total number of sales dictates the number of defects you can have before it affects your seller status. It can't be more than 1 percent. For example I have 300 transactions over the last 12 months. If I get 4 or more defects I will rated below standard.

The 'cases closed without seller resolution' are even less. You are only allowed to have .30% or less to remain standard. So with 300 transactions I would only be allowed one case that closed without seller resolution before I was lowered to below standard seller status.

Those defects or unresolved cases stay on your account for 12 months. During this time they lower your selling limits. It's almost impossible to get out of once you are below standard, until those fall off your account 12 months later.

It's really simple.

There's not magic number of negative feedback that will get you suspended. You could receive 2000 negative feedback in 24 hours, assuming you also had 1 million positive feedback in the same period, Amazon wouldn't bat an eye.

It all comes down to metrics. What percentage of your orders have "defects"? (A-to-Z, chargeback, or negative feedback are considered defects). Your maximum allowed defect rate is 1%. If you meet or exceed that percentage, your account is canned.


It goes without saying that if you have a new account, or one that has little feedback, the 1% rule can be overridden by Amazon, since if you get 3 feedback and one is negative, you effectively have a 66% customer satisfaction rate.

Once you reached ~100 or so feedback, it's all about metrics. Of course, this assumes you sell steadily. If you take a break for 6 months then come back, its essentially like having a new account.

Yes, and the content of the feedback itself.

"Item was damaged on delivery." and "Item is phake." are two COMPLETELY different scenarios.

Also when you suddenly receive a peak of negative feedback you get limited. I once had a 99.8% 8-9k feedback profile. Received about 15 negs in one week, got me limited and banned almost instantly.

give me a shout if it gets really bad, theres a 'trick' to remove all negative feedback. Better not to do it other than to save the account though

That's not true....

Again, on established accounts, its all about your Order Defect Rate. In order to sustain 15 negatives in a week, you'd need to have at LEAST 1,500 orders with no issues (A-to-Z, chargeback, or negatives) within the previous 90 days.

It's all METRICS. The # of feedback is irrelevant. If you have 2000 positive orders and then get 15 negatives, your account would be fine.

on UK you get minus 100 per neg....so if your customer satisfaction goes yellow with exclaimation mark, then you have a problem and need to up your good ratings...

problem with az is people like to leave fb when they are pi ssed off and do not bother when they are satisfied....

Yup...thats why I spam their inbox with feedback requests (every 2 weeks, 3 emails max).
