Why do my accounts keep getting in trouble?

Hi All,

I've lost a number of accounts. :smash: Some have been caused by my listings. Which confuses me big time. How do I keep these *******s off my back?!?!

I can make stealth acs with no problem. The issue lies when I post X product and then all of a sudden a***on decides to cancel my listing and ask me to provide proof of authenticity. They are asking for invoices and supplier contact. (which I don't have.) I was just reposting things I found on the internet because I have to make some money.

Is there anyway to know if a listing is trouble?

That way I'll stay away from those and keep my nose clean.

Sending products to FBA has also brought me problems. I just can't understand why though because most of those were PL products with unique UPCs.

Any thoughts gang?

Could you ask yourself why a business would not have invoices?

This is part of your answer, I am sorry to say.

:pout:

Re: Why do my accounts keep getting in trouble?

The bottom line is, you will have problems listing any popular brand name items. Apple anything. Disney DVD's. Expensive DVD box sets. Designer handbags. Expensive perfume. Name brand watches. Fitness programs sold on infomercials. Microsoft software. Rosetta Stone. Nike shoes. Any hot brand name shoes. NFL Jerseys. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Why? Because these things are all heavily counterfeited. eBay and PayPal know this. So, with new accounts especially, they watch what you are selling. If they believe that your items MAY BE counterfeit, there goes your listings. They will want to see an invoice from an authorized supplier. Flea markets, closeout companies and such will not work. They want a verifiable, authorized supplier. Otherwise, the account will be closed.

Is it fair? No. But it IS reality. If you are buying something that sells at retail for $199 for $35, it is a counterfeit. You cannot take the word of your dealer. Nobody is going to ADMIT that their items are not genuine.

Re: Why do my accounts keep getting in trouble?

hey,

i see what you are saying.

however, i just posted one damn listing of a go pro screen protector. it just says the keyword "go pro". sometimes i test a listing to see if itll catch on because my funds dont allow for me to carry all of these items on hand.

Is this bad practice?

Im not a dropshipper per se. although i am hustling to get my amazon biz moving again. sometimes i post things i dont have YET.

is 20 listings for a newer account too much?

What does A****n expect veterans??

i humbly call upon your counsel.

--

should i respond to their message with invoices? (this means i have to product it somehow)

or should i just ignore the message and remove the listing hoping this will blow over. It appears to me this is the only listing in question.

Thanks!:bounce:

Did you already reply and state that you purchased it from a supplier?

household items.

the item they called me out on was a screen protector for gpro like i said.

I am not dropshipping but i am listing some stuff i may or may not have on hand yet. i am on a shoestring budget as i cannot yet relist my past accounts inventory. Which is what i REALLY wanna sell. lol

oh well. i am so close. i can practically smell greener pastures. thanks to this forum and the guys and gals who post their wisdom. u rock!

now i just need to figure out how to perfect my biz practices cuz these guys are really on my arss.

Is there any way to preempt and amazon objection by submitting invoices prior to listing my items?

Because i keep buying stuff and piling up inventory meanwhile some of it cant even be sold. Which is ridiculous.

lol. no. i am paranoid a little bit.

is it really just that simple? They asked for a load of info?

Invoices and supplier details. I got it off DHgate. Or at least something similar maybe some alteration a la PS could help me out.

Whadya think? Risky or not?

I am going to tell you this and i hope everyone respects my opinion.

I think that if you wana sell vero you gotta know what you doing. I am not encoraging you to sell fofos but it seems on the forums everyone sells "sells household items" LOL. I can assure you that if you sold vero in the past you will know what gets you suspended and what does not.

Also if you dont sell vero you sell generic and i can assure u all the big sellers sell china trash to make profit.

This is my 2 cents so i hope i dont offend anyone.

Good luck

thx for the response. how do ppl who "know what they are doing" operate?

ive sold vero in the past this time i think is bs because i think the items are generic. so why is amazon complaining? Ive taken down the listing and am preparing something for them.

Its clear that its their platform so they write the rules. The question is how to work by those rules?

cheers

Know your product.

Do your homework.

Do in depth homework from more than one source.

You have a good example in what you are attempting to sell.

A case for a phone sounds simple, we can both agree.

But there are different models. You need to determine if your item can be onsold.
You need to check thoroughly if a name/brand is OK to sell or has mean IP rightd owners who kill accounts.
That is the catch..

Re: Why do my accounts keep getting in trouble?

WTH. This is the weirdest thing ever.

So I deleted that listing. Mind you. I hadn't even logged a sale yet.

Now. I look to the notifications. It is gone. lool.

I still have the email in my email inbox, but that message nowhere to be found on the central messages. Weird huh? It appears as though I can still sell on that one.

Im just gonna leave it alone and play dumb. If they ask me about it. I'll say it was a typo. Hopefully it turns out all right. :thumb:

Thanks!

Re: Why do my accounts keep getting in trouble?

Plain and simple:

Don't sell anything you can't confirm with 100% certainty is AUTHENTIC. Period.

You're probably listing or selling phakes. It sounds like you're trying to word it to avoid saying it outright, but it isn't hard to read between the lines.

Do NOT dropship on Amazon. Amazon has NO patience for making customers wait. If you want to pull the shady stuff you're doing, you need to keep it on eBay. You're going to start having accounts DELETED (and that means your money is gone too).

If you need money, use a credit card to buy your inventory, then pay it off when it sells.

If you have a crappy credit history, get a job, then buy your inventory.

This shady foo-foo crap isn't going to cut it. Quit making excuses as to why you can't buy genuine merchandise. We have ZERO sympathy for people who try to take shortcuts.

you seem to be caught up on the amazon bot of.... VERY HIGH possibility we are going to have issues with this seller or the items they are selling so lets try and nip it in the butt before that happens.

I give it a month before you start a thread about not being able to log into your account(s).
