Single member LLC - EIN # and Amazon tax interview
 

I formed a single member LLC and received an EIN for this single member LLC.

I am looking to start selling on amazon under this new company but I have heard that SINGLE MEMBER LLC'S EIN number will not pass muster with Amazon because the business name must match the single members name as given to the IRS. Amazon won't have a way to see the single person's name but it won't pass as match I have heard, not sure.

Has anyone had success forming a new amazon account and passing muster for a few months/years as a single member LLC... I looked up the rules from the IRS and it doesn't seem like the IRS has a way to add a member to the single member LLC EIN since its considered a disregarded entity for tax purposes. Plus I don't exactly have another person to add to my LLC currently... I could ask a family member to be a member but then would they not get taxed for my income unfairly???

Has anyone had direct experience on this??
