New Listing to Old Listing ratio question

As people have suggested, the ratio of new listing to old listing ratio should be anywhere between 1:1 and 5:1 if re-selling old listing.

1) Is it sufficient to just CREATE those new listings? or do they need to actually be ACTIVE, live, and buyable in the marketplace?
2) Has anyone done stealth successfully, reselling same items/listings from previously closed accounts WITHOUT needing to list any completely new/different items? (As in to the extent of actually having to create new product listings in such a 1:1 + ratio fashion). Or is this ratio step as necessary of a step as getting a VPN.

in the meantime the rules have changed and amazon also look at the sales comparing them to suspended members.so if you list 50 suspended items and 1000 not suspended items but only the 50 will be in the actual sales you will be taken out

You have to at least list them for sale I don't think you have to actually sell them. This may be exclusive to UK because may US Sellers are doing just fine with this and I can tell you my accounts have been fine over the past few years selling orders for same product and listing at 10 to 1 ratio

did you really relist all suspended items on a new account shortly after suspension and did not have any problems?

10 listings may not be enough to link unless you sell each in quantities similar to the suspended account

Well eventually it would be in same quantity, but a do a steady progression of sales

Wow 10 to 1?! That's a crazy amount. Is that really necessary to have such a high ratio?

Anyone working with lower ratios than 10:1?

For those saying these items need to be not only in your inventory, but also should be selling - in the event they sell, and you *dont have the item in your stockpile*, could you just dropship it via another Amazon seller or Amazon themselves? or is that deemed risky?

From a process stand point you can. The choice might be if your using Prime or not, and the question of longevity.

But it does seem theres a policy for AMZ PRIME that says you can't dropship. Not sure if it ALSO applies if you are not using PRIME though.

What's your current inventory ratio?

That thread was a very interesting read. I currently dont sell on Amazon marketplace, but I questioned out of curiosity.

Just set your prices higher. Beware around Christmas when everybody runs out you may get a lot of sales. Just dropship them from Ebay
