Going stealth need help with LLC
My old stealth account got banned a little while back and I'm opening up another one this month. I have already signed up under a stealth name, new cc, new bank account, etc. Now I want to enter my tax id in. Do I go get a LLC or EIN under stealth name?
A few quick questions:
1) I'm creating a new Amazon account with an LLC, however, it's asking for the Signature of U.S Person. Do I put the stealth name or my real name here? I don't want my address to get linked.
I checked a couple posts on this and several members suggested just fill out the EIN at the IRS system check multi-member, LLC. then go do amazon's tax interview right away, they verify against the EIN, then after that call the IRS and tell them you have a single member LLC and made a mistake.
I know a single-member LLC is considered a "disregarded entity" for tax purposes. So I'm guessing you need a multi-member LLC - that way they will be verifying the business name against the EIN, rather than your real name. When verifying the LLC, the IRS receives the LLC NAME and the EIN and matches on THEM ONLY. The IRS does NOT verify addresses. They also do NOT correct any information. They just return a code of "match" or "no match". ONE CAVEAT: The LLC must be a multi-member LLC. If it is a SINGLE MEMBER LLC then the EIN would be in YOUR REAL NAME and not the LLC name.
2) A second option I heard of is to simply make up a number and add a new number every 30 days realize it fails almost instantly if it does not match. Does this option still work too?
Final Question: Can I still reuse my SSN that I used under my previous (now banned) account? Does Amazon's detection system also check for sellers using SSNs that are linked to previously banned accounts. |
