What keeps a seller(big) from getting the buybox?
 

A seller is selling an item cheap but not getting the buybox. I use to sell this item, and have figured out I can sell this item 3x then what this seller is selling for.

I already bought from him and sold a bunch, but what is keeping him from getting the buybox? It seems like this is a distributor, because hes selling all of the same brand and getting 100feedbacks a month. His feedback is 100%

His metrics are perfect, shipping speed is perfect. why isnt he getting the buybox?

I just purchased another 75 items, if he gets the buybox they are useless to me.

Buy box basically same as ebay top rated status on ebay it's move your listing on top. On amazon its promote your listing with buy it now button on main listing page even if you price is higher

Thanks for clarification. I knew what it was, I just didn't know the feature was called buy box. Nice to know :)

Seller will probably have over 1% ODR on his AZ metrics...

^This. They're much more strict about that 1% ODR taking away the buybox. The algorithm also acts much quicker than the old days. If it's 1.05 for just a day too long, they could take the buybox away.

I was thinking ODR, but he has 100% feedback. Doesnt make sense.

If he got 100% feedback does not mean it's ODR Is not over 1%
