New Amzn Acc for buying and still need to enter bank details!!
 

i set up a new amzn account to simply purchase something around 30pounds using some gift cards i hadnt used and i now have to enter my bank details to complete the order? its the first time i have used amzn since they cracked down on the bank card fiasco but was sure that was only for when setting up too sell on amzn, didnt realise you need bank details just to buy something! Anyway just a heads up for anyone wanting to know as i searched on here and couldnt find anything related to when your buying, anyone any other info on this or a way around it?

First I heard. Just to confirm your not trying to open a seller account? as that is the only time I have come across any message to share bank details? even then it wasn't forced on me...

Have you tried using a proper payment method since its a new account, i.e. a major bank issues debit/credit card?

I think it may be the concern that you are trying to purchase goods without them doing any verifications on you, therefore they need a bank.

why would they need your bank details if you're just buying?

I think you're trying to open a seller account...
