Why doesn't Amazon pay on time?
 

Got 2100 dollars in my Amazon account. It says it will pay 800 of it today, on May 17th. Instead no pay, I'll get paid 1000 dollars on May 24th. What gives with this? Seriously. Also, got another account that says I will get paid today, 600 bucks, but I only got 90 something dollars.

But wasn't my 1300 dollars that they were not going to pay me part of that rolling reserve? Frustrating!

They are going to hold 14 days of revenue at all times on personal accounts.

It almost seems like I should stop selling on this account and move on to another account. Let's say they were going to pay me 800 bucks, but I had 2100 bucks in there. The reserve should be 1300 bucks. But no, they decide not to pay me, wait another week, and pay me 1000 dollars with 2100 in it. 1300 withheld is more than 50% of 2100, meaning they're holding more than 50%. What if I get my account to 5000 in the next 3 days? All of a sudden they're not going to pay me on the 24th as they promised, and say they'll pay me like 2000 dollars the following week? Frustrating!

It is all right in the details when you signed up. Every personal account are going to be this way 100% of the time.

If you don't like this, don't sell on amazon is the only advice I can give ya.

This is how I tend to run my business - and I am just putting it out there so if someone likes it, they can adopt it.

1) Dont get bogged down by payment delays or payment holds.
2) Have sufficient funds to pay off suppliers/bills.
3) Keep in the back of your mind that money will 'eventually' be taken off hold or disbursed, dont worry about it.

I have seen far too many threads about money holds, if you've got nothing to worry about in what you do/sell, then know that, that money isn't going anywhere.

amazon reserve usually happens when you sell stuff quickly +large payment

100% of personal accounts have 14 day reserves with 7 day distributions. No way around it on personal accounts.
