| Kelly441 | 05-24-2016 07:10 PM | New Policy from Amazon today Amazon now funds not-received claims on orders shipped via Shipping Services
May 24, 2016
In effect since May 1, 20106, if you've shipped an order using a label purchased from Shipping Services and your buyer claims they didn't receive their order and files an A-to-z claim, Amazon will cover that claim. In fact, you won't receive a notification about it and your Order Defect Rate will not be affected. Learn more about Order Not Received Claims.
If this includes without signature, this is great news! |
Re: New Policy from Amazon today Interesting to note. |
Re: New Policy from Amazon today Any idea if this is a US implementation or worldwide? |

If this includes without signature, this is great news! | does this mean a buyer can just pretend an item doesnt arrive even more? |

This is one of the biggest problems I have with amazon. Maybe we have a solution now. I guess time will tell. |

Well if amazon take it into their own hands, you don't want to be making false INR reports. They will suspend your buying account. They are very good at closely monitoring accounts for excessive returns etc... They don't like problematic buyers, and are renowned for turning them away from their site.
This should be the way marketplaces operate, rather than making sellers take the loss. |

USPS most likely has alot more info available with the new GPS scanners, and there is no reason why tracking data cant be pulled real time but USPS.com polls that data 24hrs later.
Hopefully Amazon has access to that GPS data, and can catch scammers better. |
| alekov | 05-26-2016 03:20 PM | Re: New Policy from Amazon today Awesome!!! I can't believe they finally did something about it! It's been such a huge issue, can't believe the amount of scams out there.. |
Re: New Policy from Amazon today great news finally |
| Gamefreak | 05-26-2016 09:07 PM | Re: New Policy from Amazon today I see this more as a trap for scammers (buyers) on amazon than anything else...

I really don't like printing labels off amazon, plus they scan hard but if it saves the INR cases, I am all for it. |
| Kelly441 | 05-27-2016 12:19 AM | Re: New Policy from Amazon today I have asked Amazon to clarify that this includes delivered, but no signature confirmation. Also, whether they would also remove negative feedback. Will let you guys know |
| alekov | 05-27-2016 08:54 AM | Re: New Policy from Amazon today Scamming is out of control on Amazon. We sell on few other channels, including ebay, and we get no returns and no lost package claims period! Absolutely no returns anywhere but on Amazon! We recently recalled a ton of FBA inventory from a suspended account on Amazon, and while going through the returned inventory it was mind boggling the amount of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff we found that was returned with the real tags of our products. Customers simply ordered our item, took the tag and returned a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ item with it. These items are so bad, not even close to what the original item was, maybe just similar color, not even the same model. Obviously the Amazon employees have no clue as they accepted them, and we suspect maybe that's one of the reasons our account went down, as we did get few complaints of inauthentic. :( |

They said negative feedback is on a case by case basis. I would think based on their new policy, they would remove it This is great news! |

You just can't sell, and when you login it says that your selling privileges have been suspended. However, you still have access to all your listings, and can recall FBA inventory, and can even fulfill orders that were placed on another marketplace. They hold your money for 90 days, however, your inventory is available for you to recall at any time. Sometimes we purposely leave our inventory there for 90 days as well, and we continue to sell on other marketplaces and simply fulfill the orders from FBA, that way we don't hold the inventory at our own facility, or try to sift through 2,000 items trying to find one when one of them sells. :)
It's very unusual for you to not have any access to your account. I've heard few cases where your account simply disappears and there is no way to log into it or anything, but I believe that's very rare and only if you were involved in some serious fraud action...
I have suspended accounts from 2-3 years ago that I still log into from time to time to look at the reports and figure out what sales were for particular month and etc... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:27 PM. | |
