Sell same products across multiple accounts?
 

Hi Guys

I was wondering about selling the same products across multiple accounts.

Firstly, do most of you guys sell different products on different accounts?

Secondly, I sell mostly own brand generic products which I stock myself so I don't dropship, is it possible for them to pick-up on details such as using the same product pics across a number of different accounts, would they get linked?

I suppose my question is for both amazon and ebay as I trade on both.

Yes , metadata from pictures definetly can create a link, you need to take new pictures using a new device each time or simply use a program to clean the data from your pics

You have to be very careful of selling the same items on amazon.

Dont include ebay in this as they have a totally different set of rules.


First thing amazon look for is similarities. Same items over accounts will flag the accounts.

There is a supposed ratio of selling old items on new stealth accounts.

Regardless, you need to be most careful how items are listed.

Avoid selling the same items across multiple accounts. If you have to, and you're willing to risk the possibility of getting linked, keep it above a 20:1 ratio. That means 20 new products you're selling for every 1 similar item sold on another account

What elmo suggested is something I consider doing when the account has aged somewhat.

I never consider such listings out of the box.

That said, I tend to be very cautious. I am happy to wait or even avoid listing the same items.

One of the worse dangers with amazon is their want to delete new accounts with little to no explanation NOR reason for the account holder.

Yes, new stealth accounts can be made. But there are definite does and do nots that must be recognised, imho.

be carefull as selling same products on multiple accounts can get multiple accounts blocked.
my advice is sell on one account your full range and save your other accounts for use later in case they block your account.
and if you dont have a big limit just buy a big limit account from one of our sellers .
