Are HideMyAss! VPN Servers and IP good?
 

I know there are previous threads on this, but from 3-6 years ago...

Is Hide My Ass! VPN servers and IPs good for Amazon stealth? What I noticed is on some of the apps that I use to detect IP, it will show the IP being from a specific city that I set in the L2TP settings given Hide My Ass' extensive list of servers which is awesome. Even small cities too!

However, on another website I use for detecting ip address location, it always has the gelocation as being a particular city all the time, but the ip address being for another city and another column whree the geolocation is correct with the ip address that i wanted...

makes me wonder...is there a way where a vpn server and ip address have an itinital geolocation for where some sort of mega server is and then from there on out it is is more accurate? or what the heck?

The problem with Hide My Ass and a lot of proxy services or VPNs is that the Ip addresses are heavily recycled and abused. The IP address you're on could have been shared with thousands of other people and blacklisted.

If it's a dedicated IP address than maybe you could get away with it but again.. the IP address has been used by others before...

You take a risk with services like 'Hide My Ass'

What threads have you been looking at? If the only ones you could find on this we're from 3-6 years ago! There have been discussions on this many times even just looking at past from this year, it is a constant item that crops up regularly.

Get your own dedicated IP or look at dongles, cellphone tethering, etc - don't need the proxy use OP

If you're willing to spend $50 for the unit and $5 a month for unlimited data then this is the solution to change your IP whenever you want.

just buy dongles and use mobile data. much cheaper i think. well in uk in particular
