Address for DBA, EIN

Let me just confirm this: to set up a Ghost account with a DBA and EIN, I must use a different address than the one on my suspended account, correct?

That means I'll need to use an address that isn't mine. Amazon Ghost says that a DBA is "legal, baby", but actually it isn't if I use an address that isn't mine, correct?

The EIN (which is dealing with the feared IRS) isn't legal either because it uses the same address as the DBA, correct?

Is this the only way to do it?

You'll have to wait on an Amazon expert, but on Ebay you create the EIN and register your LLC using your 100% correct info. Then you just give your EIN to Paypal and Paypal doesn't have any way to look up where the EIN is registered. Never lie to the feds.

I'm assuming the case is the same with AZ, but if I'm wrong you could always get a box at the UPS store. They give you an actual street address, not a PO box.

Thanks, Phaz0rz, I already tried that. LegalZoom told me that Shelby County didn't accept the UPS store box as my biz address, because they knew it was a box. They looked it up.

Does anyone else know anything about this?

Does Amazon verify the location of your business somehow?

Why can't you just create your EIN and DBA using your real info, and put a different address on Amazon (like you do on Ebay)?

Sorry if these are Amazon n00b questions. Just trying to help. Whatever part has you confused, there must be a way around it because there are thousands of Amazon ghosties.

On a side note, I've never dealt with legalzoom. I go to IRS.gov for the EIN, and the business one stop for my state to register LLCs.

Hey, no prob Phaz0rz, I much appreciate the help. Maybe that's the way to do it (I hope so) but the book left me a bit confused. It details several different methods but for me it doesn't do a good job keeping them separate, so I'm confused.
